The Variable Bit Rate (VBR) due to conversion by iTunes 10.6 was to eradicate my personal information and stay anonymous, the conversion did not change file types or quality it only removes zero valued data and leaves data with information.
(eg. "265kbps-original-song" --> "272kbps-converted-song") the file was restricted to playing at less quality, with (VBR) the file plays at it's true quality - it may "vary" unlike a fixed Bit Rate (┬▒). The final effect on files was nothing more than remove personal information.
